quote [ Game Guy Scott Fera Goes Crazy Playing Air Guitar. ]
I was suprised to see there was nothing about Guitar Hero for the PS2 on SE. This game took our company by storm and was also a huge hit over Christmas with the family, young and old. More about the game itself in the extended. The main link goes to a news report about the game where they let loose and have a little too much fun.

quote [ Jarvis had assigned her senior civics and economics class “to take photographs to illustrate their rights in the Bill of Rights,” she says. One student “had taken a photo of George Bush... tacked the picture to a wall with a red thumb tack through his head. Then he made a thumb’s down sign with his own hand next to the President’s picture... and he pasted it on a poster.”
“They asked me, didn’t I think that it was suspicious,” she recalls. “I said no, it was a Bill of Rights project!” ] [politics] [by wieder@6:51pmGMT] [+10 WTF] [50 comments] |

Yet another thing to throw on this week's pile of insanity.

quote [ The delegates voted to use whatever means necessary to "ensure the united backing of the American people to support our troops and the global war on terrorism." ]
Does anyone have a transcript of what was actually said at the convention? What do they mean by "any means necessary"? Since when did the situation turn from "I don't agree with what you are protesting about" into "I don't agree with you protesting at all"?

quote [ Nobody knows how this place is run," says Rep. Bernie Sanders. "If they did, they'd go nuts." ]
Very detailed account of a Rolling Stone writer following around Independent Rep Bernie Sanders of Vermont as he works to pass Amendments, and the mess that follows.

quote [ "It took me 18 years to save up the money to put the down payment on the property," Oliveira said. "Why would you want to kick out a minority business?" ]
Part of the reason I make the trip to Austin is to eat at this restaurant to relive my days as a University of Texas student. Now I'm torn between my love for UT and my love for tasty shakes and burgers.
