Absolutely unacceptable. Just a Daily Show clip, so I threw in a home invasion news story and Tom Morello's Rolling Stone article about Paul Ryan's "favorite band".

I quite like: You see, the super rich must rationalize having more than they could ever spend while millions of children in the U.S. go to bed hungry every night. So, when they look themselves in the mirror, they convince themselves that "Those people are undeserving. They're . . . lesser." Some of these guys on the extreme right are more cynical than Paul Ryan, but he seems to really believe in this stuff. This unbridled rage against those who have the least is a cornerstone of the Romney-Ryan ticket. |

So if you go outside and two people in a car shoot at you... how is it not self defense to return fire? I'm pretty sure that's exactly what self defense. Maybe you object because he pursued the robbers? If he followed them and shot them in the back, then I'd agree that is not self defense. But he has every right to follow them and make sure they are identified for subsequent arrest. If they object to being followed and attack him, as they apparently did, then we have self defense again. That's probably why the police arrested the two robbers and not the guy who's home was broken into. |

One guy shot his dog. I don't see anything about them shooting at him. I'm not saying he can't defend himself, but I'm not sure taking pot shots at people running away is "self defense". (But I'm a hippy like that) |

To be fair to you, the article is written poorly. But this clearly says the robbers fired shots at the man while they were all outside the house. |
