Succubus

quote [ The thing with ordinary pornography is its ability to arouse diminishes with the number viewings and when it no longer arouses it is thrown away, while with pornography as art, after its ability to arouse decreases it is still left with an aesthetic sensibility worth keeping. ]

I'm anticipating debate over my choice of category. Anyhow, I really enjoy this guys take on art.

I think succubus might have been posted before, perhaps in a comment, but I'd never seen ice lolly before. Confused feelings about that one.

Very interesting stuff, but I would have preferred it presented as some sort of reality instead of an art project. Would have driven his exploration of the lines of grotesque, horror, sexuality, etc. much further.

Before they had their clothes off, but when they were joined together, I was already thinking: I bet this is about sex!

Reason? Biblically, I believe sex is described as "two people becoming one flesh" or somesuch. Thus, this is depicting the act of sex *actually* turning people into one piece of flesh.

Two sperm are swimming along, when one turns to the other and asks "How far is it to the uterus?"

The other one answers, "No clue, man, we're not even past the esophagus yet."

Just stay off the porn for a week, you'll be fapping like it was 1999.

Many many years ago I attempted to give up masturbation for Lent. Not having a girlfriend at the time made this damn near impossible. Kudos for Josh Hartnett's fictional character making it that long. I got to 27 days but I couldn't think straight, saw every woman naked in my mind, etc. It was a lot like his mind trip in the movie minus floating in a sea of boobs.

Oh good. You're not the only one. I've been doing this since 2010 after the break up with my ex in 2009. Everything just started to look sexy. The a breeze or gust of wind would send shivers on the back of my neck down to my spine.

I got to 34 days last year. I only lasted 23 days this year because of this girl who keeps flirting with me... next year.

On the topic of novelty I do feel that there is arousal and enjoyment to be had from pornography which has familiarity, which has a sense of nostalgia and warmth.

By "nostalgia" I'm assuming you mean "before Brazilian waxes made every female performer infant-smooth"? I'm not saying it has to look like she's wearing mohair panties, but a respectable bush heightens the mystique for me.

I liked it back when it was bassy jazz or classical piano muzak, before shitty R&B or techno background music.
I do prefer how the arsecracks arn't brutally hairy anymore tho.

I don't necessarily mean nostalgia in that it is porn from a different decade, though back then there was a lot more heart involved in the production process, just porn that you're personally well acquainted with and have a history with. Or indeed maybe a particular pornstar you've got the collected works of, have a bit of an infatuation with and have dirtied a lot of tissues to.

Maybe you look into her eyes during the POV shot as she grips a cock and associate past orgasms with it and feel something approaching attachment.

Maybe breaking out the old video reminds you of a time when porn was scarce and illusive, the excitement at having something so simple yet taboo. Tied t to the fear that your fap might be interrupted by a parent knocking at a door.

Reading an old doujin which you first saw through younger more inexperienced eyes, your perspective now more informed makes you think fondly of your adolescent curiosity and appreciate how the images shaped your sexuality in the simplest ways.

Is it really the HAIR on the vagina you miss? Or everything that hair represented?

My sexuality was shaped way before doujins and adolescence.

Sorry, but to me this photographer is not nearly as original or creative as he seems to think he is. In the first minute and a half my thoughts were "Hmm, Sandman...now The Thing...now a trick photo I remember from Hustler in the late 1970s...now a reference to Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange...oooohKAY, that's enough."

Going with the old "is it art" debate, I guess anything created by a person can be considered art. However, addressing his title, I think this work is more like erotica than pornography. Only some of the images are explicitly sexual, but furthermore the focus is less on the act and more on portraying the subject in an artistic manner. So, IMO "porn as art" is not breaking new ground, but simply relabeling an existing genre (or even mislabeling one). Also, the monster made of two lower female halves was a common enemy in Silent Hill 2, which was released in 2001. His own take on it is not bad, just unoriginal.
