quote [ Eduard Khil was a beloved Soviet crooner who only won sudden international stardom two years ago when a 1976 video of him singing "trololo" instead of the song's censored words became a global Internet hit. Khil, best known as Mr. Trololo, died Monday at age 77. ]

I mostly watch family guy when... Well... No. I endure it a few seconds before I turn the tv over to another channel to provide other background noise. |

I downloaded a torrent of the entire thing, years ago. I'd seen a few clips on the internet and heard it was as good as the Simpsons. A baby who is an evil genius seemed an incredibly rich vein of humour to mine. I planned to watch the whole thing back-to-back, but gave up after just one episode. Since then, I've never seen a second of Family Guy that I didn't regret. I did see one clip that I liked, but it turned out the bit I liked was the result of Fox corporate meddling. Consequently I believe that Family Guy is the only product whose artistic integrity is actually improved when the Suits overrule the creator. |

Yes people find this funny. Now I'm going to leave there here for you to reply so you can tell me why it isn't funny and I should feel bad for enjoying it. You can also go on about how you don't have a television anymore and it is just the best thing. Maybe you could also tell all of us how you cut red meat out of your diet and your hot yoga classes are the best decision you ever made. |

No deal. It's your job to explain why it is funny. Not somebody else's to explain why it isn't. The same applies when evangelical Christians demand that I prove that Christianity isn't the one true belief. |

The tone of your comment is quite hostile, or maybe defensive. A bit of both, I guess. |

Sorry, cb, but you miffed this one. azazel made the implied claim that the show is not funny. Given that it is very successful, it clearly is considered funny by many people and thus her (his?) claim is extraordinary. Ergo, the burden of proof is on azazel to show it is not funny. Jaxon can prove it is funny (to him) by announcing "I find it funny". That's it, job done. He wouldn't need to prove it is funny to others, since the implication is that it simply is not funny at all, and any contrary evidence is sufficient. But Jaxon doesn't have to do even that much, since he did not make the extraordinary claim. |

I don't need to prove anything, since my comment was just an expressing of surprise. The only thing you can actually take away from my comment is that I don't find it funny and don't understand why others would. And I'm a he, for what it's worth. |

I know, you would only have to prove it if you wanted it to be accepted as factual. I only mentioned it because cb361 was getting the burden of proof mixed up. And thanks for the gender info: I will have to shuffle you around to a different position in my fantasies. |
