Watched it from a rental house on the south side of Lake Tahoe at about 7500'. Freaking amazing, not a cloud in the sky. An astronomer friend brought glasses for us all and taught all the kiddoes present how to make a pin hole camera as a wedding present. All of this was a very long winded way of saying I got married the day before :) |

JOECAM and sacrelicious have joined an end-of-the-world cult and are currently sitting in their underground bunker, eating beans and impregnating their harems so as to get the jump on repopulating Earth after Mayan doomsday. Or if the worst has happened, I'm sure they're in SE Valhalla now. It's pretty much the same thing. |

If you ever made a pinhole camera as a kid, you know it blows ass compared to observing the real deal. Be a (wo?)man and glance at the sun a couple of times without welder #12 grade glass. |

Enjoy your sunburned retinas! (Seriously, kids, don't do this. UV damage is permanent.) |

I stared at the sun for a long time a few times when I was a kid. I can still see. |

(Seriously kids, you can do this. Just don't stare into the sun for hours, watching the whole event. Glancing at the sun a few times is not like staring into a laser pointer.) |
