quote [ Listen to handcrafted internet radio.
Share your own mix online. ] Most of the mixes seem to have a fairly 'indie' leaning taste but there's mixes of all types of genre and feeling. I listen to my own and then see what it cues up after that (it matches the next mix with the general theme of your own). Enjoy!
Here's my profile, I've done a few mixes already:

Still a good concept, not that original anymore though. |

Wanted to share this because it's kind of cool. Summary: It's a virus that infects caterpillars. And then makes them climb to the tops of trees. Where in traditional viral style, it forces their cells to make copies of itself, then causes the caterpillar to liquefy , and then as the caterpillar goo oozes down the tree, the virus infects new caterpillars. |

See, THIS kind of shit is how you write a zombie movie. I want to see less of that hand-waved "thing reanimates dead tissue" bullshit and more "parasite that overrides the host and changes thier behavior to maximize infection." |

"Thing reanimates dead tissue" will always be just as realistic as it is today. "Science stuff of the moment" will seem very dated in a couple of years. |

I'm not sure why but I expected this to be an Ankama animation before watching it. |

I remember using one of these mixtape sites a few years ago, and it didn't take long until the RIAA took them down. How will this be any different? (Serious question, I'm not trying to be a cunt here.) |

It's been a couple of years since I last used 8tracks, but if I remember, this site differs from Muxtape because it doesn't let you upload, just lets you search and create mixes from their catalog of music. So theoretically with that limitation, they've found a loophole or licensed music such that they can survive. Seemed a little worthless to me, since half of what I listen to is chiptunes that aren't going to be in their catalog... |

Nevermind. I just tried creating a mix and they do do uploads. I don't have any idea what I'm talking about. |

It's been a while since I used 8tracks, too, though I used to be avid. I think their secret is that they're technically internet radio. |

I think it may have something to do with sneaky licensing laws where if you play the same mix twice it changes, as well as only being able to skip a few tracks per hour. They must've found a few loop holes to make use of for it to have been around for a while. |
