There was some interest expressed for a SE FF league. I set one up - trying to get 7 who will join to make an 8 team league. PM me an email address (same that you will use to make an ESPN login would be nice) and I'll send an invite back.

I'm planning on standard ESPN rules with an autopick draft where everyone just has a preranked list of players. I would love to do an online draft, but I doubt we can get 8 schedules in sync by Saturday (which is when the autopicking will occur btw).

I will start emailing when I get back from work today. You know you want those SE bragging rights so get in here.

I suggest changing this to the Mafia Game category on SE. People who aren't interested in the occasional mafia game and configure their profile to hide them (and downmod any that slip through the net) are probably the sort who would like this hidden too.

Word to the wise: make sureeveryone playing agrees to a size category for your players. I was heartbroken when my star receiver (githzerai monk, GREAT base move despite the level adjustment) got one-shotted all the way to -10 by a defensive line composed entirely of cloud giants.

Shit for corporate schmucks to talk about. I never understood it until realizing that all conversations I overheard when I worked in an office a few years consisted of talk about tax, poor investments, and football. And since it gets boring talking about how the game went last night that everyone saw, they talk about fantasy statistical values. Like "yeah, but on my team that totally would never have happened 'cause my defensive line has blah blah points on blah blah blah blah"

No one I know talks like that. My take is that it's basically a fun game to play so that you are interested in the NFL as a whole instead of just one team that your family roots for. It's a great mix of smart picks and luck, isn't too time intensive, and facilitates a lot of social interaction.

The one negative is that some people end up rooting against a team they like because they want their fantasy team to win. E.g. A coach will pull your fantasy running back and put in a burly dude specifically meant to run 2 yards for an easy score. Your home team might have just gone up by 6 points, but your fantasy running back that marched down most of the the field all by himself gets credit for none of them.

Including enderite (still need his email) we have 5 people in the league. 3 more and we are good to go. I don't want to go outside of SE, but in a pinch I could ask a couple people I know to join if we don't have enough people by Friday night to have a full league.
