Oh, he was (past tense) a good congressman who had big aspirations of being the mayor of New York...not going to happen. He is from a district in NY that will always be democratic. But now he has embarrassed himself and his colleges in the party, not so much for having sex on the web, but for the weeks of lies he told trying to cover it up. He is toast. |

If this were a republican, I'd be all over them. I feel the same way even though he's been a go-getter in congress. If he spent one cent of taxpayer money with this, he's got to be reprimanded. He lied about it and tried to cover it up, and his credibility is undermined. The rest is a matter between him and his six past girlfriends that he was sexting with and, most importantly, his wife. Fuck him for putting her through this if it's what it looks like. Or, who knows, maybe she's into this shit... in which case, how do I get her my number? |

Why was he asked if the picture was of him? What business is it of ours to know? How rude of anyone to even speculate, especially publicly. Professional gossipers and political hitmen. Because the question should not of been asked, I'm okay with his saying whatever was needed to get people to stop asking; this online affair or sexting should be of no concern to anyone but him, his wife and anonymous chickies 1-4. When Republican pederasts sext young men, at least that's illegal. When Republican anti-homosexual legislators cruise, that's hypocritical and painfully pathetic, and was stressed as to the ridiculousness of anti-homo laws, a foundation of the party. When Republicans cheat on their multiple wives, it's a concern only when they accuse others of the same, a double-shame. |

It seems ludicrous that a sexual relationship outside of marriage should suggest that a person isn't capable or appropriate to be the President. Sure you would like the Pres to be somewhat pristine but such does not exist. The concern maybe that if the person can't stay true to their spouse then maybe they wouldn't be true to their country, position or Oath of Office. The latter however seems to be a given, that they won't be true to their oath of office at least for the Presidents covering the last ten years and nobody is taking this to task so why worry about the sexual thing. Instead of pussy footing around the issues of sexual misconduct and looking inept at handling stress and heat, I think the candidate, male or female should simply say 'yeah I fucked around a bit, so what I'm human. That's between me and my spouse so fuck off and focus on the real issues. If you are unemployed and I can change that do you really care who or how many I've fucked or do you want me to get you a job, because hey, you know these other assholes aren't gonna help you. So vote for me." |

Yet they will vote for those other assholes who do a better job of hiding and/or misdirecting their faults, regardless of how they actually impact the position they're attempting to be elected to. So we're back to trying to hide all the silly, often stupid, things people do on their own time, because you can be as hypocritical as you want if you maintain your lie until nobody cares anymore. |
