quote [ Within months of his "Dating Game" appearance, Alcala would become a killer, prosecutors said, abducting and murdering a 12-year-old girl in 1979. Before the decade was over, Alcala would claim four more victims, according to testimony at his trial. ]
Creepy.

I watched the episode when Roger Ebert "tweeted" about this a few months ago. To be fair, if you didn't already know which guy was the serial killer, you would be hard pressed to guess which one it is. All three suitors are a little off-kilter. The host too. Hell, even the girl contestant looks like she might have a fake cast and some "lost puppy" posters in her trunk. |

It's the times. And the fact that they were all most likely snorting huge amounts of coke. |

Yeah, that's what we figured. Maybe like a coke/lude combo with some other random pills thrown in and washed down with six fingers of Chivas Regal. I really lament that I was only five in 1979. |

And now Bachelor No. 1 has gotten the death penalty. He'll get to sit on Death Row for the next thirty years. No Rice-A-Roni for him. |
