I've used the service several times, and they are good people. The stainless steel prints are pretty cool, and they just implemented some full-color 3d printing technology. |

I'm guessing either selective metal sintering (SLS) or direct metal laser sintering (DMLS). |

It's actually printed in steel powder with a binder, then sintered in the sintering oven and infused with bronze. |

It's phosphor bronze, which is an alloy of copper, tin, phosphorous, and science. |

The cuff links are really nice. I have a pair that are like that, the sort of curved stud, and they just feel more substantial and can't break like the peg with the bit that turns once you've gone through the cuff. |

Our work deals with the existing mass of death announcements and the resulting stimulus satiation. We want to point up the hebetude caused by this. |

Clearly says you can upload, I quickly clicked to see what formats they wanted but they require an account creation... couldn't be bothered. Yet. |

http://www.shapeways.com/tutorials/supported-applications Shapeways accepts designs in STL, X3D or Collada. ...and then they list a bunch of CAD programs that support one or more of those formats (inc 3dsMax, Autocad 8, Blender and Lightwave), along with a couple of converters. |
