I saw them in concert in Japan at Summer Sonic. They toured with Elvis Costello who produced one of their hits. They were a little older than I remembered, but they were great. :) |

I saw an interview with Joe Cocker once where he said that a friend of his called him in the middle of the night and told him to turn on SNL because there was some American doing a horrible imitation of him. Joe saw Belushi and about pissed himself laughing, then arranged to be on SNL so he and Belushi could perform together. It says a world of good things about Joe Cocker that he did this. |

80's music scene in the UK was so much more inventive and original than the US, with the exception of the hiphop scene. |

well, i'm exaggerating. some good stuff was starting to come out (prince, mj, the cars), but i always felt the us scene was way too tied to the whole rock thing. |
