Pretty sad, and not in a funny way: “I was in Rocky Mount [N.C.] where we screened 500 people in one weekend,” recalled Foust, “when a woman came up to me and said, you know, with their dollar menu, I can get five meals out of this.” They're $5 gift cards. |

True story. It's sad that people hit hardest by slumping economies have to be coerced to 'come out of the shadows' and get simple tests like this done. Not much of a complement t'wards the condition of health care in some places. |

Interesting how the reporting is spinning this as a huge issue, while it is important, the rise of cases from .01% to .04% of the population can't be the most pressing health issue facing the county. |

It's easier to catch it now than after that 400% increase has been going a while. By "catch", I meant prevent the spread of syphilis. Obviously if you want to catch syphilis, your chances are better the higher the proportion of it in the general population. You know what I mean. |
previous post, I found this story got me laughing aaaaaaaand suppressed my appetite all at once. Funny thing.
