quote [ Tom Ridge confirms a long-held suspicion among Bush critics, writing in his new autobiography that he "was pushed to raise the security alert on the eve of President Bush's re-election, something he saw as politically motivated and worth resigning over." ]
Words fail to describe the incredible sleaziness of this.

CAN WE PROSECUTE YET? Seriously, I don't want to read any more about the abuses of the Bush administration until I read about an upcoming trial. |

Do American airports even have pre-recorded terrorist alerts for any color other than "orange?" |

It's nice to have proof but I'm pretty sure, if we're honest, we already knew this. Not that there wont be a depressingly large number of people who, despite hearing it from the horses mouth, still won't believe it. |

I'd say "see I told you so" to the non believers and ones who stamped us as moon-bats / tin-foil hats. That is, I would say that if I wasn't an emotionless burned out husk of a man, a used up meat-puppet, battle fatigued from countless arguments, no longer containing the will to care about anything and left for rusting scrap on the side of the road like some fevered Mad Max dream. |

As I said every time this sort of thing comes up -- yes, they tried to use 9/11 for political profit. They did not, however, orchestrate 9/11. That's when people slip from angry to insane in my books. And the people that say they created 9/11 do a disservice to the truth. Controlled demolition? No. Using the events to further their agendas? Undeniable. Why invade IRAQ of all places, when it was (men mostly from) Afghanistan that attacked? |

I refuse to believe that Ridge has anything resembling a conscience; he has found a way to get some free publicity for his book. |
