quote [ ...Putin gave the network [CNN] an exclusive 30-minute interview. And you know what happened? Nothing. It was never allowed to air. CNN doesn’t know it yet, but that decision might have cost them their Russian broadcasting rights. ]
This will play out interestingly and hopefully without any Geiger counters

Actually, I'm pretty sure I heard my great grandfather use that saying a long, long time ago. |

I used to read the Exile when I was living in Moscow. It was fun paper and served as a lifeline to the social and political life of the city. This was an interesting article. On one hand it's positively gloating about how CNN is getting shut down in Russia, and just what a swell guy that Putin fellow is. But it seems like the the Exile has had its own run ins with Russian press freedoms. Just a few months back, the Exile was shut down by the authorities are well, along with all other sources of free and independent media. http://exiledonline.com/banned-in-russia/ For them to come out with a brown-nosing piece like this smacks of desperation. Someone is trying to kiss some serious ass. |

So... Palin is running the Exile?! No, I remember that post. Good point. Maybe they figure they should tow the line while Big Red is looking at which media outlets get shutdown/banned/irradiated. That or they've been body snatched. |

C'mon: given their position, they've always hated the American media. Always. And they've published a couple of articles since their closure that don't have much of a taint of brownnose to them. Hell, this article contains the sentence "After all, he is the one that usually does the censoring." |

So as soon as they start saying anything politically you disagree with, they're pandering. Hokay. |

Yeah, poor misunderstood putin. I think you'll find the CNN journalists come down with a sudden case of polonium overdose. |
