This show is very hit or miss, mainly miss. I was really looking forward to it when it was first announced, but it turned out the guy editing the ads had infinitely better comedic timing than the people in charge of this show. I really dislike the sudden popularity of this "random" humor. It's not even really random like dadaism or surrealism, it's just silly and stupid. Great, two minutes of Tim and Eric wearing funny wigs and making honking noises, then Bob Odenkirk somehow managing to be unfunny, GENIUS. Most of the shit they do on the show is the kind of stupid things me and my friends would make when we got a hold of a camcorder and editing software. |

This show is the most overrated piece of shit that they've ever shown on television, finishing just slightly ahead of Tom Goes to the Mayor, which, of course, is also by Tim & Eric. I'm sorry, but I HAD to mod this overrated. I have replaced the karma by upmodding one of your other posts. This shit needs to die, and quick. Of course, this is coming from a guy that LOVES Saul of the Molemen, so take it with a grain of salt. |

For every 9 people who don't "get" this show or just find it unappealling. It's great that the 10th person is really the only person I'd really like talking to anyways. :p I dunno, from someone who likes noisecore, and guerilla type editing and video and subversive humour it easy to like. It is kind of a progression on shows like Mr. Show and Aqua Teen Hunger Force and WonderShowzen. where people are left uncomfortable rather than laughing is a sign that its cutting edge humour. It seems to have garnered a lot of respect among other comedians, why else would so my make guest spots on the show all time? Just my thoughts... I expect to be now shot down for my lazy grammar and how my opinion is wrong. :p |

When people don't laugh it can also mean it's not fucking funny. Not that people don't understand the cutting edge humor of two guys sitting on a couch saying "Rolo tony, brown town." over and over again for a minute straight, or filling up time with smash cuts of them JUST MAKING RANDOM FUCKING NOISES. Honestly, it seems like they're not even fucking trying. They also seem to think being dressed in a stupid outfit is inherently funny, it is not. As the old saying goes "A man wearing a funny hat is not funny, but a man who doesn't know he's wearing a funny hat, ah, now you've got something." |

My girlfriend was in a noisecore band. We both really loved ATHF. The mayor show and Tim and Eric blow, where Wonder Showzen and Mr. Show are much, much better. There's nothing wrong with absurd humor as long as it ocassionally makes some sort of statement, it can even be something as small as "wow, peanut butter tastes great.", but for fucks sake, do not try to pass off 20minutes of awkward timing as humor every night. 12oz mouse was better suited for that shit anyway. At least it was thematically consistent. |

I prefer 12oz/Tim and Eric to Robot Chicken, because unexpected unfunny jokes are more interesting than expected unfunny jokes. And the visuals are more stimulating. |

The only time Tom Goes to the Mayor/Tim & Eric's Awesome Show was interesting was about 2 weeks ago when I was trippin my balls off on some 'cid. Even then, it wasn't THAT funny. |

Metalapoclypse is still, hands down, the best show on Adult Swim. Family Guy and Futurama are great and all, but I've seen every episode of both those shows so many times that I'll only tune in on them if nothing else is on. Better to see an episode of How It's Made on the Discovery Channel that I haven't seen before than the episode where Fry gets the uber worms for the 50th time. They need to hurry up and make more Korgoth episodes while they're at it. None of this cheap live action crap. Yes, I'm sure there is a greater return on something they can make fast and cheap like 12 oz Mouse or any of those stupid live action shows, you can only fill up so many blocks with 6 year old cartoons imported from the Fox network. But come on, quality over quantity. Original programs are swell and all, but I'd rather they run the fucking PJ's than watch shit by Tim and Eric. |
