I saw that. Nolan Mar's main claim to fame, according to their website, seems to be that they provide consulting services to the "Institute."

What was the name of that parody group that set up stuff like this... the Yes Men, was that it?

Could be legit, but even if it is, it's just another niche consulting firm cashing in on the rampant Treasury-buggery courtesy of the Dubya Bush Administration. Hardly a "global CIA."

Digging deeper, the House's lobbyist disclosure form lists the Institute's contact as a Mark S. Knouse.

Mr. Knouse is a former Assistant Secretary of Transportation under the Reagan Administration, and is the currently registered lobbyist for half a dozen Political Action Committees.

So, another low-level gravy train siphon and nothing more. I guess we don't have to put on the tinfoil hats after all.

Wikipedia is usually about 70% accurate (I forget where I got the statistic, but it sounds about right)- with the possible exception of political and religious stuff- because whenever someone runs across an article they KNOW is inaccurate, they will often correct it. If a big debate ensues, the people in charge of Wikipedia will mention it in a warning blurb above said article.

I always thought an ideal replacement to the UN would be a system which looked something like a cross between the EU and the Commonwealth Realms. But sadly, we have too many crackpots in the US alone who would cry "New World Order!" and instantly think it was bad.
