I haven't been this wow'ed by a film like this since I first saw a Miyazaki film. The experience is much different though. Miyazaki's movies always have me grinning from ear to ear with the life dripping from each frame and the joyous innocence of his characters. Mind Game was much deeper and thought provoking. This is a rare film that never let my mind be at ease and kept me constantly thinking. |

I want to mod this +1 Good for being a great post; +1 Informative for displaying to me that the literary and visual boundaries I had for animation (and frankly any film in general) were so narrow; +1 Underrated for a film that, upon research, is getting very little recognition outside of the festival circuit; and +1 Insightful for allowing me to experience such an emotionally and mentally intense piece of artwork that lifted my spirit in a way that so few things can. |
