End Women's Suffrage!!

quote [ It's a National School of Excellence, as specified by the US Department of Education. ]

I weep for the youth.
"Care to sign my petition banning ALL Dihydrogen Monoxide from the United States?"

exact idea stolen from the Man Show? and they at least had the decency to not be so smug about the whole affair.
JabberWokky said @ 8:07pm GMT on 7th May
You might not believe this, but most obvious jokes predate their appearance on a television show.

I remember hearing it as a joke back in the 70s when it was paired with petitions to Shave the Whales.

I was under the impression that there are only 7 jokes in the world and all the rest are just variations on those 7.

That's right, and they were all written by the Greek philosopher Sodomoppotimus.

So, on July 8th, 1944, the joke was first told to the enemy
in the Ardennes...

"Wenn ist das Nunstruck git und Slotermeyer? Ja!...
Beiherhund das Oder die Flipperwaldt gersput!"

It was a fantastic success. Over sixty thousand times as powerful as Britain's great pre-war joke...

Ya know, maybe you should just never sign a petition when some dude's filming you and laughing at you; I think that means something's up.

Having done some petition rounds around my uni campus, my experience has been that those that will sign will sign for any damn thing, and those that won't won't listen to you either. Maybe 10% of people will actually care what it is, but a further 20% will pretend to for whatever reason, usually just to look smart. Often I'll thank them for their soul or their firstborn as they scrawl their John Doe across the page.

The people who signed this petition should lose their right to vote.

Of course, most of them probably can't be bothered to vote in the first place.
Crysallis said @ 12:50pm GMT on 8th May
Yeah! Anyone that doesn't know what suffrage means shouldn't be allowed to vote. In fact, anyone that cannot read or write shouldn't be allowed to vote! Oh, oh, and anyone still in school shouldn't be allowed to either. A warzone is school btw. :P
arrowhen said @ 1:18pm GMT on 8th May
I'm with you on the first two points, but why shouldn't anyone in school be allowed to vote?
-_- said @ 3:31pm GMT on 8th May
Call me whatever names you want to but I think that one should either spend time in the millitary or own land before being allowed to vote.
just saying.
I don't think it is really enforceable but it makes sense to me that people should have to invest something in their citizenship other than expectations.
And yes , I have done time in the millitary and I own property but I
Heinlein got me started on this when I was 12 reading "Starship Troopers".
sacrelicious said @ 3:54pm GMT on 8th May
I say the only people that should be allowed to vote are the people who make the right decisions, and nobody should vote except for them!

but since there's bound to be disagreements about who those people are, and since it's impossible to track them all down in the first place, and since that system would be vulnerable to imposters and duplicity in the form of people pretending to be those people just to get the right to vote, how bout we compromise and just let everyone vote? yeah, that sounds like a reasonable solution.

actually, I favor a jury system of electing officials. basically when it's election time, you get 12 people at random who are to be kept anonymous and have each candidate argue to those people his case for why he should be elected. then lock em in a room until the come out with unanimous decision. and even paying them double their normal wages, I'll bet it would be cheaper than mounting a traditional campaign. and the best part is: the voters are forced to think about their decisions!

oh, that's easy: just post a type of porn that's very polarizing, but is still high quality for the type it is.

watersports, double-fisting or shemales should do the trick.

I wouldn't risk all three at once though.
