...you have to wonder who funded/performed this research. Not just anecdotal evidence, mind you, but systematic and quantitative study - getting in there with a vernier pube-o-meter and keeping accurate logs of follicles per unit area type of stuff.

You're on the right track. The problem here is that the hosters don't allow hot links. So, the images will appear to be broken until they are cached in your browser's cache. (Or so it was on FF).
